Make Life Epic Again

Your imagination is still there. Let’s give it something to do.

Remember getting lost in a game, making up characters, or creating something for no better reason than it sounded fun?

Life gets busy. Epic Again is where I’m figuring out how to make room for creativity again, then turning what I learn into practical guides, honest experiments, and plenty of reasons to make something just because you want to.

Two free guides. No perfect schedule, giant supply pile, or expert status required.

The person behind Epic Again

Growing up doesn’t mean imagination has to become something you used to do.

Hey, I’m Gary. I’m a dad, lifelong science fiction and fantasy fan, returning hobbyist, and aspiring writer.

Work, family, soccer, and ordinary life have a talent for nudging hobbies farther down the list. Epic Again is me working my way back through miniature painting, gaming, storytelling, writing, and whatever creative rabbit hole looks interesting next.

I’m not writing from the finish line. I’m learning, experimenting, occasionally repainting things, and sharing what actually helps along the way. You don’t have to master a hobby before you’re allowed to enjoy it.

Create a Character Worth Playing

A memorable character needs more than a name, a cool outfit, and seventeen paragraphs of backstory nobody else will ever read.

This system-agnostic guide helps you turn an idea into a character with personality, motivations, complications, and story hooks other people can actually interact with.

  • Develop an original character concept.
  • Build motivations and meaningful conflicts.
  • Complete a profile ready for roleplay.

Original resources, practical exercises, and somewhere useful to begin. No purchase required.

Explore Epic Again

Follow the interesting question.

One day it’s a miniature paint scheme. The next it’s character motivation, science-fiction worldbuilding, or some oddly specific question that refuses to leave my head. Follow whichever thread looks interesting.

Some ideas need a little more room to wander.

Articles are great. Sometimes I want to follow the side road, talk through an idea, or spend more time with the hobbies and imaginary worlds that keep pulling me back.
